BrochureS
A good corporate brochure will act as the perfect ambassador for your brand, elevating your company above the competition. Taking time to understand your target audience and define the right tone of voice, I then develop clear, concise, persuasive copy that will leave readers in no doubt about what your company stands for and why they need you.
Websites
Research shows that people have a low level of interest – and a high level of impatience – when they browse the web, which means it takes particularly well-crafted website copy to attract and retain their attention. My web copy is concise and impactful, grabbing users with the benefits the company offers rather than expecting them to wade through lengthy paragraphs of brochure-type text.
Newsletters
Whether an internal newsletter for 16,000 staff across 20 countries, or a publication aimed at key customers, I make sure that I talk your audience’s language. I develop engaging editorial content that will meet your objectives, whether that’s communicating important company information, improving teamwork, or instilling a sense of belonging in the reader.
Annual Reports
Annual reports may be factual. That doesn’t mean they can’t also be a good read: a true showcase of your company’s triumphs over the past year. When I work with global companies – where source material often derives from many different regions of the world – I can ensure that the report is written with one voice to achieve a smooth, flowing narrative.
Editorial
As a former journalist, there’s nothing I love more than interviewing someone who is an expert in their field, whether that’s architecture or quantum physics. My skill is to get my head around highly complex topics and tell the story that makes them relevant for the reader, whether the medium is a magazine feature, online article or blog.
Press materials
Having worked both as a journalist and a PR account director, I’m aware of the pitfalls when it comes to crafting press materials, and know the vital importance of a hard-hitting opening paragraph. Putting myself in the shoes of a busy journalist, I keep my releases short, relevant and to-the-point.
Social media/blogging
Words (along with images and video) are at the heart of the social media revolution where content is king. Creating content that will engage your customers on your chosen social media channels is a challenge I love, and having recently gained HubSpot certification, I well understand the growing importance of inbound marketing.
